Robert O. Dean

Robert O. Dean (1929–2018) was a retired Command Sergeant Major of the US Army and NATO analyst at SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe) in Belgium. He claimed to have had access during his service to a top-secret NATO report ('The Assessment') confirming the existence of at least four different extraterrestrial species. Dean became one of the most prominent figures in the UFO disclosure movement and spoke at numerous conferences. He described the 1954 encounter at Edwards AFB (Muroc) with President Eisenhower and Archbishop McIntyre as a historic first contact event. His statements are not officially verified but have been consistent over decades.
