Mart Sander

Mart Sander is an Estonian filmmaker, musician, actor, and author. As a child, he attended Tallinna Reaalkool, where Viivika Mitt taught, and he describes a personal connection to the family behind the Merivälja narrative. In 2017, he publicly said that he possessed a fragment of the Merivälja object. In summer 2026, he published the book 'Object M: Estonia’s Buried Mystery' and was interviewed by Ross Coulthart for NewsNation's Reality Check.

Sander publicly argues that what lies beneath the former Mitt property is probably neither natural nor human-made and considers an ancient surveillance device. That interpretation is an author's personal conclusion, not something verified through a photographed, recovered, or independently examined main body. He is relevant to the database as a current narrator of a historical Estonian UAP legend; his statements do not resolve the insecure provenance of the fragments or supersede the 2017 published TTÜ material analysis, which assessed the examined piece as probably human-made.
