Phyllis Schlemmer — Medium The Nine, 'Only Planet of Choice', Lab Nine (1974–1993)

Phyllis Schlemmer (b. ca. 1930) was the primary medium of the Lab Nine sessions under Andrija Puharich and the main communicator with the entity group 'The Nine' or 'Council of Nine'. Her communications were documented over nearly 20 years (1974–1993) and published in 1993 in the book 'The Only Planet of Choice' — the only complete transcript of the Nine communications.

The Nine described themselves as 9 primordial principles or creative forces that have accompanied humanity for 10,000 years. They identified themselves with the Egyptian gods (Ennead of Heliopolis) and claimed to operate from a spacecraft called 'Spectra'. Core message: Humanity stands before an evolutionary leap, contact with extraterrestrial intelligence is inevitable and has been prepared by the Nine for millennia.

Schlemmer's sessions were attended by high-profile figures: Andrija Puharich (CIA connections, scientist), Uri Geller (CIA Stargate), Gene Roddenberry (Star Trek creator), Sir John Whitmore (British racing driver/author), Ira Einhorn (activist, later convicted). The sessions took place in Ossining, New York and later in England.

The book, edited by Palden Jenkins, contains transcripts of the Nine communications from 1974 to 1993. It describes: galactic civilisation structure, Earth as the only planet with 'free will' in the universe, non-human intelligence (NHI) intervention in human history, and imminent disclosure as a cosmic event. The book became a standard reference in contact research and directly influenced the New Age movement of the 1990s.

Uri Geller explicitly connects Eshed's 'Galactic Federation' with Schlemmer's Nine on June 9, 2026: 'I strongly suspect that what Haim calls the Galactic Federation is directly connected to the SAME intelligence that I, Andrija Puharich & Gene Roddenberry all received communications from!' Schlemmer is thus the documentary bridge between the Nine communications (1952–1993) and Eshed's Galactic Federation (2020).

=== CRITICISM AND CONTEXTUALISATION ===
Sceptics view the Nine communications as a product of collective autosuggestion or deliberate mystification by Puharich. The CIA connections of Puharich and Geller suggest that Lab Nine may also have been conceived as an intelligence operation. On the other hand: the congruence between Schlemmer's transcripts (1974), Eshed's statements (2020) and Geller's confirmations (2026) across 74 years is statistically remarkable and cannot be explained by coincidence alone.
