Phoenix Lights 1997 — V-Formation over 300 Miles · Governor Witnesses

March 13, 1997, 6:55–10:30 PM: Mass sightings of a massive V-shaped object over 480 km from Nevada to Sonora, Mexico. Thousands of witnesses. PHASE 1 (Moving V): Silent, massive triangular object — witnesses: 'As large as a football field.' 'No engines, absolutely silent.' Obscured stars during overflight (solid object). Governor Fife Symington saw it himself — initially ridiculed it publicly. 10 years later: 'I know what I saw and it was not human technology.' PHASE 2 (Stationary lights over Phoenix): 9 stationary lights in V-formation over Phoenix Metro. Military: A-10 flares, Maryland ANG. Counterargument: flares fall — these lights were stationary for 106 minutes. TWO SEPARATE EVENTS — flare explanation applies only to Phase 2. Phase 1 (moving object) remains completely inexplicable.
