The AARO Historical Record Report 2024 revealed that the US military actively spread UFO rumors and myths for decades — not because aliens existed, but to protect secret weapons programs. 2. 'Yankee Blue' — Fictional Alien Program as Hazing Ritual: At least a dozen military personnel were introduced to a completely fictional alien investigation program called 'Yankee Blue' — as a hazing ritual. The program began in the 1980s and ran until 2023. The Pentagon banned the practice after the AARO report.
