Nancy Ann Tappe observes children with an indigo-colored aura starting in the late 1960s. In 1982 she publishes the concept. In 1998 Lee Carroll & Jan Tober popularize it with 500,000+ copies sold. The concept describes a new generation of humanity with extraordinary abilities — often identical to ADHD/autism characteristics.
