Hypnotic Regression as UAP Evidence — Methodology, Strengths, Limitations

METHODOLOGY: Dr. Benjamin Simon (Hill 1964), Dr. John Mack (200+ cases), Leo Sprinkle, David Jacobs. STRENGTHS: Independent sessions without knowledge of the other's statements → identical details (Hill case). Physiological responses: Barney Hill — genuine panic on tape recording, rise in blood pressure. Physical evidence: shoes polished on the underside of the toe cap (mechanically impossible to do oneself), Barney: wound mark on the genital area (sperm extraction reported). LIMITATIONS: Hypnosis = high suggestibility. False memories (confabulation) simultaneously possible. Dr. Simon himself: 'Betty's dreams could have influenced later hypnosis content.' Scientific consensus: hypnotic memories are not admissible as evidence without corroboration. CONCLUSION: The strongest argument is the independence of the sessions + physiological responses — the weakest: lack of external corroboration.
