Richard Doty

Richard C. Doty was a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) from 1979 to 1988, stationed at Kirtland AFB in New Mexico. He is the central figure of the government's UAP disinformation campaign of the 1980s. Doty conducted two coordinated operations: (1) Operation Bennewitz – he systematically convinced electronics entrepreneur Paul Bennewitz that he was receiving alien communications, until Bennewitz suffered a nervous breakdown in 1988 and was admitted to a psychiatric facility. (2) Operation Howe – he deceived award-winning journalist Linda Moulton Howe with forged MJ-12 documents and the promise of genuine UAP footage that was never delivered. Doty worked with UFO researcher Bill Moore, who acted as an informant. In 2023, Trevor Paglen released the documentary film 'Doty' about his activities. In 2025, Doty admitted in a debrief interview that he had made mistakes and commented on the current UAP disclosure movement.

**Project MINOT / Cronus (Gaia Cosmic Disclosure, Season 28, 2025):** Doty claims to have been involved in a classified program called 'Project MINOT' that operates a sentient, Pleiadian-designed spacecraft named 'Cronus' — capable of time travel through wormholes up to 40,000 years into the future.
