Lt. Col. Charles Halt

Deputy Base Commander, RAF Woodbridge. Went into Rendlesham Forest to DEBUNK UFO reports. Instead: 18-minute microcassette recording of his own experience (Halt-Tape). Audible on the tape: the genuine surprise and confusion of a skeptical military officer. In 2010 he signed a notarially certified affidavit: 'The objects I observed at close range were extraterrestrial in origin. Both UK and US security services have attempted to suppress the significance of the incident.' To this day: 'Nobody has ever debriefed me.' Together with Penniston + Burroughs he published the book 'Encounter in Rendlesham Forest' (2014).
