David Grusch

David Charles Grusch is a former U.S. Air Force officer and intelligence official. The official House Oversight Committee hearing page listed him in 2023 as a former National Reconnaissance Office Representative to the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Task Force. The Debrief's initial reporting also described roles at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).

On July 26, 2023, Grusch testified under oath before the U.S. House of Representatives about alleged long-running programs for the recovery and analysis of non-human materials. The testimony was public, but the details and evidence he claimed were largely classified or based on interviews with other people. NPR reported that Grusch said he had not personally seen recovered vehicles or bodies. The Pentagon simultaneously said it had found no verifiable information substantiating programs to possess or reverse-engineer extraterrestrial materials.

On the Dr. Phil Podcast of August 13, 2026, Grusch extended the public narrative with second-hand claims about allegedly living detained occupants and consciousness communication. He himself distinguished this from personal experience. His relevance to the database is therefore his documented, senior public whistleblower role and its impact on institutional transparency debates — not an independent confirmation of his more far-reaching UAP claims.
