Ukraine: Main Astronomical Observatory — 'UFO Dynamics on the Moon' (2025, not peer reviewed)

A publicly accessible, non-peer-reviewed manuscript by Boris Zhilyaev, Vladimir Petukhov, and Sergey Pokhvala of the Main Astronomical Observatory of the NAS of Ukraine reports high-speed video observations near the Moon. According to the manuscript, imaging anomalies were recorded in Vinarivka on August 16 and September 7, 2025 using an Intes-AlterM603 telescope and an ASI-294-Pro camera. The authors classify more than 20 objects as “atmospheric,” “continental,” and toroidal, and conclude that the Moon serves as a base for UFOs.

**What is supported:** The manuscript, its author attribution, the described observation dates, the stated instruments, and the low-contrast image signals reported there exist. The paper itself states that some crops are only 2×2 pixels, contrasts are only a few percent, and pseudocolor and reconstruction techniques were used to make signals visible.

**What is not supported:** Sizes of up to several dozen kilometres, velocities, artificial/technological nature, intelligent behavior, or a UFO base on the Moon. These conclusions depend on unvalidated assumptions about distance and albedo. There is no peer review, multi-station parallax measurement, or independent replication. Avi Loeb specifically criticized the single-instrument/atmospheric problem to NewsNation. This entry therefore documents a verifiable but methodologically unresolved preprint, not evidence of an NHI presence.
