Los Alamos Green Fireballs — Manhattan Project Physicists Conference (1949)

In February 1949, the leading physicists of the United States — including Edward Teller, Norris Bradbury, and meteor expert Lincoln LaPaz — gathered at Los Alamos to investigate mysterious green fireballs seen over nuclear facilities since late 1948. Conference transcript now declassified for the first time (PURSUE Release 4, July 10, 2026). On February 16, 1949, leading U.S. physicists gathered at Los Alamos. On page 21 of the now-declassified conference transcript (DOE-UAP-D004), Dr. Lincoln LaPaz makes an extraordinary statement: he mentions 'German Stations in Space' — without anyone in the room questioning or challenging him. Present: Dr. Norris Bradbury (Director of Los Alamos), Dr. Edward Teller (father of the hydrogen bomb), Lt. Commander Richard Mandelkorn (Armed Forces Special Weapons Project), an FBI representative, and AEC security chief Sidney Newburger Jr. The fact that no one asks follow-up questions implies, according to analyst Geoffrey Cruickshank: 'They all KNEW exactly what he was talking about.' Possible connection: These 'German stations' could be the pre-Sputnik objects discovered by Dr. Beatriz Villarroel in 2025 on historical photographic plates.
